Bio
Beatrice Tabacchi (b. 1997 Palombara Sabina) is an Italian-American multimedia artist based in Rome, Italy.
She spent her school years in Chicago, Illinois, and later moved to the Hudson Valley of New York. Tabacchi graduated from Bard College, class of 2019 (Red Hook, New York) with a BA in Studio Arts. She was a Senior Fellow at the Difference in Media Project (2016-2019) as well as a Visual Arts Editor for Bard Papers (2016-2018), and collaborated extensively with Bard’s Film and Electronic Arts and Experimental Humanities departments.
Tabacchi’s first solo show Main Character Syndrome at Lateral Roma, curated by Marta Federici, revolves around a “character-figure embedded in its landscapes, articulating non linear-narratives and building a formal universe in metamorphosis.” This character-figure continues to be a central portal into Tabacchi’s visual lexicon.
